Works in Progress

Almost finished with this cute little shrug for little girl Cooper. Just need to tie in ends and away she wears it. It has actually been in this state for too long and now I fear she may only fit into it for another couple of months. Oh well so mothering goes.

The back is my favorite and was equal challenge and delight to knit up. The pattern comes out of the book, Vintage Baby Knits by Kristen Rengren. I have made two other patterns from this book and found it a very easy book when I wanted something with a little challenge without being too complicated.

So comes along the back of a new sweater for Little girl Cooper from a pattern out of Lullaby Knits that I mentioned in an earlier post. If you look closely you can find my mistake that I left in for no other reason that I was too lazy, too tired to pull out and fix. So far this pattern is easy but fun! I can't wait to see her sporting this around town.

Work Space and New Projects

Since I am nearing the end of one project I cannot help but gear up to add another to my pile of things to make. I bought this sweet new book that I am truly in love with. Lullaby Knits is beautifully laid out and the photos are just too precious to not make something. So smaller girl will be getting a new sweater and vest for the winter.

Super sweet sweater. I can't wait to have fun making this one.

Smaller girl will look so great in the this vest!

The only place organized and clean in my house these days is a bookshelf holding many of my materials. This is just a small snippet of the many things I have horded over the past years.

If you look closely I always keep a picture of me and my Nan around. She was my cheerleader early on to make things.

The Frances Vest

The swatch has been swatched and the pattern written. Now on to the fun part of making the Frances Vest to work out any kinks along the way. It is a sweet little vest with a heart lace pattern that transitions into a plain knit at the top with a racer back backside.

Works in Progress
A little peek at what's hanging off my needles these days.  Sometimes I feel it takes years to finish something while taking care of smaller people. The day will come when all these things are finished and hanging off bodies big and small. The green and blue ombre at the top is a vest I started for myself while pregnant with the smaller girl. To the right is a blue swatch prepping up for the first ever knitting pattern I am designing for a summer vest for the bigger girl. Finally for the smaller girl a pink bolero on its way to being finished.
